How to Schedule a Mammogram or Pap Smear
Insured patients and Idaho Women's Health Check participants can contact Angie Radimer, PA-C in New Plymouth to schedule a mammogram through the St. Alphonsus Mobile Mammogram Unit. Self-pay patients may also schedule but will be responsible for the cost of the mammogram (approximately $250). If you have additional questions please contact the New Plymouth clinic.
Women must meet the following Women's Health Check eligibility criteria*:
- Low Income (see attached table)
- U.S. Citizen or Eligible Alien Status
- No health insurance coverage for Pap tests or mammograms
- Age 50-64 for Pap test, clinical breast exam and mammogram or
- Age 40-49 for Pap test
*These women must make an appointment with Angie to register for the program.
The Susan G. Komen Grant may cover women age 35-49 that need a mammogram. The requirements are essentially the same as those noted above. These women may contact Angie to schedule an appointment but the paperwork for the Susan G. Komen Grant is completed by St. Alphonsus staff members.
The Idaho Women's Health Check will cover a Pap smear only every two years for basic screening. It may cover Pap smears in other situations (Hx CA, diagnostic).
